Llanymynech Golf Club is located adjacent to the Welsh Border with the County of Shropshire just over the hill. The course, in fact, is nicknamed 'The Hill' though that does not mean it is tough on the legs. Its nickname comes from its near location to the region's old historical hill forts, which goes back to Roman times. Ian Woosnam holds the course record of 65, but that's not the club only clima to fame as this may be the only course in the world where you can tee off in one country and putt out in another. |
