Abergele was done away
with in the late 1960s to make way for a motorway in the cruellest of fashions
but a rival quickly ensued as enthusiastic members decided not to give in and
built another course nearby. The result is a course that's love by members and
visitors alike some forty years on.The
Abergele course now sits at the foot of Gwyrch Castle and exudes wonderful views
of the town itself and beyond. There are plenty of exciting holes on this beautiful
layout, especially the par threes which enjoy magnificent backdrops. Eye-catching
and challenging, this is a 'must play' during any visit to Wales. |
