Vale of Llangollen is set in the beautiful Llangollen Valley with scenic views on virtually every hole. Its setting is superb and many who come to play for the first time usually organise their return visit fairly soon.

There are only three par threes and some of the holes will require your finest golf if you are to escape with a respectable score. The first is as tough an opening hole you're likely to find in British golf but the best has been saved for last.

The 18th is one of the great finishing holes in Welsh golf and only a well struck and correctly selected iron will suffice.
