For a touch of golfing history then Glamorganshire Golf Club is the very place as this is the birthplace of one of golf's most popular scoring systems, the Stableford System. Frank Stableford was a member of the club in 1898 and his idea for scoring was used for the club's autumn meeting that year. The rest, of course, is history.
Glamorganshire is the fourth oldest club in Wales and has hosted a myriad of county, regional and national events. It has had various prominent members and is recognised as a major influence in introducing the game to clubs located in densely populated areas of the country.
