With its location not for from one of Wales' most popular golfing towns, Newport, this club has the enviable task of competing with some of the most famous courses in South Wales, yet it does so with aplomb.
Pontypool is a refreshing mix of heathland and parkland and sits on the side of a mountain so the views are spectacular. The course serves up some tough shots and no two holes follow a similar pattern, which is part of its unique appeal. The greens are often hard to hit and require very accuracy and good club selection if you want to him them in regulation. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
