Course Description

Criccieth Golf Club has played an important role in the town's heritage. Formed in 1905, one of its founding members was none other than the famous British Prime Minister and local hero David Lloyd George. The premier regularly played at Criccieth with the local boys, but there were occasions when he mixed business with pleasure, and is known to have played here one afternoon with his colleagues Winston Churchill and Andrew Bonar Law.

This elevated hilltop course is noted for the tranquillity of its surroundings and the panoramic views over the Cambrian Coast. Named recently among the International Opera Star Bryn Terfel's favourite courses in the Wales Golf annual brochure, the view from the 9th tee at Criccieth is one of the most magnificent you'll see anywhere.

Greatly improved over the past two years, this hidden gem offers excellent fairways in full view of the Snowdonia mountain range and sweeping down towards the historic coastal town of Criccieth and the sea at Cardigan Bay.
