Rhondda has an enviable location in that it is perched high above two wondrous Welsh valley, the Rhondda Fawr and the Rhondda Foch. In truth, there aren't too many courses in the world, let alone Wales, that can lay clima to that kind of location. As expected, Rhondda is a mountain course and boasts 18 rolling holes that feature fine turf and even finer views. In the distance are the ruins of the now defunct mineshafts, a sign of the now defunct Welsh industrial age.It is an easy walking course with more than its fair share of highlights, including a number of tricky par threes and a wonderful closing hole that is more than capable of wrecking a good looking card at the death. |
