A round of golf at Neath is unique when compared to Swansea's other courses in that it is not a seaside course and does succumb to ferocious winds and the common traits of a links. Instead,
this golf club is perched high on a hill in Cadoxton and is just a couple of miles from
the quaint little town of Neath. James Braid was commissioned by the club to design
the course from difficult mountain terrain. As you would expect of any Braid design,
the natural contours of the land have been incorporated into the challenge and
Braid's design, although updated by former Ryder Cup player and captain Brian
Hugget MBE, still provides for an inspiring round to this day.
